2024 Exhibition "My Stories, Other People" July 26 to August 16 in Ankara
I make sense of life through stories and remember it with photographs. I see myself as a collector of stories; I build my collection with the pictures I take and the images that stay in my mind.
In every person, I photograph myself; my story, my essence, and my emotions seep into the photograph. In every person I capture and every human scene, I see myself. I recall and relive what I was thinking, how I felt, and the anxiety or peace in my breath within the photos. On the other hand, even though photographs are momentary pieces of our holistic story as a photographer, each photo branches out into entirely different stories when viewed.
"My Stories, Other People" is a celebration of the 9th year of my dedication to these branches and to being a part of every imagined story.
